The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a loan-agreement of €40 million with the Basque Country-based Otua Group to finance the construction of a new plant for recycling plastics from automotive waste and to upgrade existing facilities for processing metal waste.

FITA will be able to invest up to €55 million to develop technology transfer projects mainly originating in universities and research centres in Catalonia.
