Non-accessible content

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the ‘InvestEU’ website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the ‘InvestEU’ website:

  • Heading hierarchy: Some headings do not follow the correct heading hierarchy, which can cause problems for screen reader users. We plan to fix this by end of 2025.
  • Images: Some decorative images are marked up as informative images without a text alternative. We plan to fix this by February 2026.
  • Links: Image links in a list of links for a video gallery don't always have a proper text alternative. We plan to fix this by February 2026.
  • Footer: Links in the footer are not always visually distinguishable from ordinary text. We plan to fix this by end of February 2026.
  • Search widget: In the modal dialog that appears after doing a search with the site search, the input field does not have a label. We plan to fix this by the end of 2025.
  • Video player – keyboard accessibility: We are aware of some issues with the keyboard accessibility of our video player (when selecting the caption language from the menu, it is not possible to use the arrow keys to move between languages, this can only be done with the TAB key).
  • Audio description: Videos on this website do not have audio description.
