The EIF is granting a €200 million guarantee to BBVA to enable it to offer more financing opportunities to startups via its BBVA Spark unit.This agreement was made possible with the support of the InvestEU programme.

The European Investment Fund has agreed to provide a guarantee to leading Belgian microfinance institution microStart, which will unlock at least €30 million of financing for Belgian microenterprises.

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and Swedish financing platform Lisa& have signed a guarantee agreement set to make available over SEK 278 million (€24,8 million) for Swedish companies with a circular business model.

Backed by the InvestEU programme the European Investment Fund (EIF) and Banco BPI (BPI) have signed today an agreement that will support up to €155 million in loans to improve access to finance for Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

On Friday, 24 March 2023, the InvestEU Investment Committee has approved guarantees worth up to around €150 million in the form of framework agreements for the first EBRD operations, which are to follow.
