Save the date - InvestEU: Financing Europe’s Future: 23 January 2024

The European Commission is delighted to invite you to save the date for a high-level InvestEU event - InvestEU: Financing Europe’s Future. The event will showcase InvestEU beneficiaries, present the opportunities offered under the InvestEU Fund, Advisory Hub and the Portal and gather feedback from the implementing and advisory partners as well as wider stakeholders.

With almost 120 approved operations and over half of the EU budget guarantee already committed the InvestEU programme is running at full cruising speed. The dedicated InvestEU event will take stock of the early impact of the InvestEU programme among its stakeholders, as well as reflect on InvestEU’s contribution to the growth of the EU economy, the competitiveness of European companies and the achievement of the green and digital transition.

Background information

The InvestEU programme provides the European Union with crucial long-term investments by leveraging substantial private and public funds and finance in support of a sustainable growth. It also helps mobilise private investments for EU policy priorities, such as the European Green Deal and the digital transition. The InvestEU programme brings together under one roof the multitude of EU financial instruments currently available to support investment in the European Union, making funding for investment projects in Europe simpler, more efficient and more flexible.

The programme consists of three components: the InvestEU Fund, the InvestEU Advisory Hub and the InvestEU Portal. The InvestEU Fund is implemented through financial partners that will invest in projects using the EU budget guarantee of €26.2 billion. The entire budget guarantee will back the investment projects of the implementing partners, increasing their risk-bearing capacity and mobilising at least €372 billion in additional investment. InvestEU Advisory Hub partners, implementing the InvestEU Advisory Hub support, provide project advisory, capacity building and market development support to promoters and intermediaries to create the InvestEU pipeline of projects.
