Backed by InvestEU, the European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €40 million loan to the Austrian-registered Eldrive Holding GmbH to install 8 472 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Bulgaria, Lithuania and Romania over the next three years.

The European Investment Bank will support Cold Lake’s innovative project for the sustainable land-based farming of Arctic char, a popular freshwater fish, made possible with the support of InvestEU

The gigafactory will produce 3GW of clean energy capacity by 2024, becoming Europe’s biggest solar panel production facility. The overall financing secured for the construction and operation of the 3Sun plant is partly backed by InvestEU.

The European Commission and NIB have signed an InvestEU guarantee amendment whereby NIB becomes implementing partner also for Norway and Iceland.

The EIB and NIB financing, backed by the European Union's InvestEU programme, is part of a project finance deal for the construction and development of H2 Green Steel's large-scale steel plant in Boden, Sweden.

Backed by the InvestEU programme, the financing will support the construction of a new production plant in Poland.

The call is addressed to both already selected implementing partners under the EU compartment of the InvestEU Fund and to new potential implementing partners.

The loan, which is backed by InvestEU, will co-finance two new battery cell manufacturing blocks that will expand the capacity of the Northvolt ETT factory, as well as a battery recycling plant (Revolt Ett) providing input materials for cell manufacturing at the same site.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will finance Northvolt's gigafactory in Northern Sweden, with a total lending package to slightly over $1.038 billion (€942.6 million).
